When I put out a plea for help packing bags in June, my friend Mark Dye Ministries asked about packing at his cooling center, and today Karen Merrell and I packed bags with these really fun, nice and special folks. We packed 200 bags of pads in less than an hour. I think we will go back soon! It was a win/win day. Karen and I were happy, our packers were happy, and the recipients of the bags will be happy. Thanks, Mark! ... See MoreSee Less

Saturday afternoon we packed bags with Lori and another group of her friends, and they packed 770 bags! Lori and her husband Rob met us at Tempe Community Council Tempe Care Fair, and they decided to have a packing party last month. When I mentioned we were very low on bags, Lori contacted her friends, and another party was on the books! It was a great group of women, and several of them expressed interest in having parties. I went home, totally exhausted, but very happy!
We have the best community!

This is what our storage unit looked like yesterday afternoon…one bag of tampons and zero bags of pads. We usually have 2 to 4 packing parties a week, but summers are slower, and we began June with only 5 parties for the entire month. We have had a few “emergency packing parties” so I think we will be able to keep up with demand for this month.
July looks just as meager, so if you have ever thought about having a packing party, if the thought of ever having crossed your mind, please consider doing one in July or August. We PROMISE a good time (we are all a tad wacky!).
In May we distribute over 5,100 bags, and the need is increasing, and we need help.
You can email us at women4womentempe@gmail.com, and we will get right back to you. Our packing parties are fun and directly benefit women. 🙏🏼

One of our community partners is Believe I Can Academy, and when I took some boxes of pads for them to unbox this morning a bus pulled up with about 15 teenagers who were there for service hours. Guess what they ended up doing?
We all went to the storage unit and they put all those boxes in my car, and by 11:30 ALL of those boxes were done and the bags back in my car. Those amazing young people even went to the storage unit to put the bags in the unit. It was one of those day that I expected to be just a normal day, but there was a lot of joy found. Tammy, the manager of the storage facility gave each of this kids an Otter Pop (it was really hot). I think I needed this!❤️
