There are many, many reasons I love working with Women4Women Tempe. I work with people who are not only compassionate and caring, they are also a whole bunch of fun! We laugh a lot, which makes my job easy.
I also am heart-happy when I think about our partners, one being Pathway To Work in Tempe. I met Lisa Silva and her group about 7 years ago at a TCAA event, and we are still working together ever since. This year they have determined every Wednesday to be Womem4Women Wednesday, and they unbox supplies, pack bags, sort, and do anything we need done.
We distributed over 7,000 of our bags in April, so we really needed help this week, and they did it all—unboxed and made pad bags. I picked up the completed bags this morning, and left with a big smile on my face…thanks to Carla who supervised the whole thing and said, “We always have your back.”. This morning Rosebud M Ellis, Chris and Eileen packed over 400 bags with students in Human Development Class at Mt. Pointe High School. What a great way to celebrate the almost end of the school!
